May 31, 2018 · Totally agree. My dad bought a 7mm-08 right when it was first introduced and many thought he was crazy until they saw the results of it. In my opinion, I would say its one of the all time great wildcat cartridges ever produced. All I've ever used is Remington core lock and nosler partition in 140 grain commercial rounds.

Dec 24, 2018 · If you reload, there's much better 7mm wildcats out there that can push those 162s to reasonable speeds around 2800fps such as 7-08 AI or 7mm Saw. The AI will run a bit quicker but I went with 7SAW for the easy of making brass from 308 Palma cases and now alpha munitions is selling 7saw brass.
