The 7mge has ACIS ( Acoustic Control Induction System), basically, the length of the intake runners changes. So you get max power for all ranges. when i dyno'd my na/t the ACIS actually gave me two torque curves.

Throttle body not included. Plenum comes raw extrusions, not polished like in some of the display pictures.

Aug 27, 2012 · If you can find a stock air box from a 7mge, it is a cold air intake to begin with. If you go with an open pod or cone style filter in the engine bay with no heat shield, you will loose power as you will be ingesting the hot engine bay air (it gets quite hot, especially with the intake being on the exhaust side).

Oct 2, 2023 · The 7mge intake Y-pipe puts the throttle body close to one of the coils (for 3 & 4) which requires trimming some of the plastic covers for the spark plug and connector. Here's some before and after pics and a schematic on COP conversion.

Apr 6, 2020 · Any manifold for a 7MGTE will also work for a 7MGE, so you don't have to look for one specifically for a GE. Should widen your options a bit. Need to rent a 7M torque plate?

Feb 19, 2009 · Remove various intake and exhaust components to view the naked head and block. Remove head for resurfacing and remove transmission for upgrade (R154 turbo transmission) or replacing the GE clutch. The head gasket will not last very long under boost conditions, along with the GE clutch.

Mar 15, 2013 · The Supra 7MGE intake manifold has the "Y" in it for better performance. It has a butterfly valve in it to switch it from a long runner intake to a short runner intake. It gives the engine more torque over a wider RPM range.

Jan 28, 2013 · What I'd suggest is the intake (with a decent cold air box), headers, and exhaust. For weight loss, remove the sound deadening. If you can, do the 5-speed swap.
