Apr 1, 2008 · I have a '76 RM125 that seems to run good one minute and not the next. And fouls a lot of plugs! Could It be the ignition? Instead of going thru the hassle of finding, buying, and waiting for a lot of used ignitions I wonder if the PVL ignition is the answer.

Some good news is the 76 used the same case reed as the 250/370 which can be modified into a 4 petal reed that gives a nice boost of power.....pretty much through the entire range. If you flip the reed block upside down you will see a void under the gasket area, there is an angle

Nov 3, 2014 · I actually rode a 76 CR125 that was very similar to the one I'm building now as well as RM's back in the day. The Suzuki I spent time on back then was a 79 RM125, which motowise was only slightly strong then my heavily modified 76 CR125, but the suspension on the RM was just worlds better, but motorwise not all that different.

Dec 8, 2019 · I know Suzuki ran the VM32mm carb on their RM125 from 76-82 before switching over to the TM34 on the new 83 reed valve only motor. A popular mod from all the major tuners was to bolt on a VM34 but I can't seem to find any specs on them. Anybody know what FMF/DG/LOP ran in there 34mm carbs?

Aug 6, 2020 · Dad had it in for Suzukis (bad experience with his 76 RM that he tried after being on Huskys). As a result I was on Hondas, which were a bit difficult for me to keep on the pipe as a new 125 beginner. Got to ride a friend’s 91 RM, then his 93...and wished I was on Suzukis, lol...such an easy bike to ride.
