Dec 4, 2015 · There was the Boeing 720 which was shorter than the 707-120 which got some orders from overseas air carriers. Cubana ordered two Boeing 707-139s,they went to Western Airlines. I am just curious as to why the 707-120 did not get orders from foreign air carriers.the 707-320 series really got a lot of orders.

The takeoff speeds for the turbojet DC-8's and 707's are really not any different from that of the turbofan models, about 150-160 knots at max takeoff weight, and less than 140 ...

The 2 Cubana aircraft couldn't be delivered due to the trade embargo which had just gone into effrect and were leased to Western Airlines for 2 years before being sold to Pan Am.
