Jan 22, 2019 · This year was my third year DIY for elk. I finally got one!! A lot of work but totally worth it.. Made great memories, Enjoy the beautiful state of Colorado, and filled my freezer. I have a question as deer hunting hear we count total points and call it a 8 point , 9 point, ect. I know general people state 5x5 or 6x6 ect. for elk and muleys.

Feb 3, 2005 · I had a good friend bring a nice 6x6 home from Colorado last year that I'd have bet would be in the 330 range. It scored under 300. Field judging elk sized animals you don't often get to see, to me anyway, will be harder than it sounds.

Jan 12, 2015 · This bull was a big 6x6 from out on U.L. Bend again. We were leading the horses, sneaking on a big bunch of cows to see if there was a bull, when I looked about 50 yards to our left and with his head up in the branches of one lone juniper was this bull watching us. He was all by himself. As soon as he knew we saw him, he was off to the races.
