Aug 21, 2011 · 6mm WOA is a great cartridge. The basic rationale behind the 6.8 SPC (the parent case) and the 6WOA (the necked-down wildcat developed by John Holliger at WOA) is to optimize the case capacity and ballistic capability of the AR15 platform.

Apr 27, 2010 · I have used Nosler CC 80gr bullets in my 223's with good results, so I was thinking of trying the 105 custom comp's in the 6 WOA. I have some 70gr SMKs and 80gr Nosler BTs to start with that I used with my 6mm-223. My 6 WOA barrel is 26" with a 1:8 twist, do you think this is too fast for the lighter bullets?

Jun 9, 2020 · Decided it wasn’t for me just to much bolt thrust and went with a 240 Tomahawk (basically an AI 6 WOA) shoots the same as a Hagar, and have never had a problem and it performs very well. The .440 head size I also agree is probably just to much in an AR15 unless you keep the pressure down, and most HP shooters won’t!

Which one would be the best, 6mm AR or 6mm WOA, no plans of shooting anything heavier than 87 vmax, would it be good to 600 yds? Any info, load data, other web sights would be a big help ...

Nonetheless, although the thought has stolen some night sleep away from me, reality occasionaly finds the better part of my brain and reminds me that if "horsepower" is what I want, maybe I should remain with the dedicated bolt ...

Feb 13, 2007 · This years x-course national champion @ Camp Perry used a 6mm Hagar,similar to 6 WOA) and he was gettting around 3000 fps with 105s. I found it hard to believe myself, but others have verified it. Chris

Jul 23, 2007 · I recently aquired some Silver State Armory 6.8 SPC small primer brass for my 6mm WOA project. Initial impression: Looks good. I cut 1 of each Hornady small primer brass and SSA small primer brass in half to compare all the appropriate thicknesses. The Hornady brass is thicker in all areas by .003 to .010 and consistant.

Sep 22, 2019 · Nosler is to be releasing a 24 Nosler one of these years (my guess is the next shot show) according to the sammi spec's it looks to be essentially a 6mm valkyrie with the rebated rimmmed case. that being said however the .224 valkyrie seems to be gathering some steam and with the bc of the 90-95gr smk it may still have an edge on a 6mm variant.
