Dec 3, 2007 · I am going to assemble a 6mm GT precision rifle. I am thinking of using a Douglas barrel on a Remington 700 action with a MDT chassis. Is this the best way to go. For instance is the barrel choice right; who are the top tier barrel makers.

The the tried and true 6mm BR. then had an opportunity to buy a gun in 6mm GT. and there is still the Creedmoor. i don't turn necks or use bushing dies. i like to keep it simple. i'm an older guy. my running is over. and my patients thin.

Dec 1, 2022 · The 6mm GT seems to offer similar ballistic performance to the 6.5 x 47, offers less recoil, and with the small case capacity and smaller bullets, reduced costs to shoot, while still hopefully providing decent barrel life and reliable mag feeding.
