Oct 28, 2020 · You know, I was just talking to one of the guys at the range this past weekend about this... I would MUCH rather have a bolt gun in 5.7x28 over a .17 HMR or .22 Magnum. I do have a few .17 HMR's and a .22 Mag, but I think the 5.7x28 is a much more capable round.

Apr 29, 2009 · Re: 5.7X28 Load data. Try looking at something like the 20 VarTarg to get an idea on powder charge. I compared 223 loads to published 204 loads as part of a way to determine starting points for unpublished bullet weights in the 204, worked fine.

I thumbed through my midway catalog while i was on the pot, and noticed Shilen has replacement 700 barrels in 5.7x28, and Score-hi has single shot followers in, guess what, 5.7x28 caliber. Find a generic 223 700 action, pull the barrel and there you go.

Aug 1, 2010 · Never shot a 5.7x28 suppressed, so I don't know... I do know a lot of folks talk about the rimfire cans rated for 5.7x28 having heavy blow-back in the face. If you want to buy a rimfire can you can use on .22LR up to 5.7x28, then the Dead Air Mask HD is probably the strongest and best rimfire can on the market. I love mine.

Iffin you have a 5.7x28 shooting rifle, it takes .224 projectiles. No need to slug it. Iffin your talking about a different gun, then by all means ignore this post

Aug 23, 2017 · Have a 16.5” MGM Tc Encore 5.7x28 barrel. Stainless bead blasted and threaded 1/2x28. Comes with MGM scope mount. Has some blemishes in the last 3 inches of the barrel from rub marks from a bipod when in a gun case. $300 shipped.
