Not only that, but He was obedient to the point of death. His blood cleanses us. When He died, the proof was in the blood and water (John 19:34).

Jesus is admonishing His disciples to not fear any man, Pharisee, or anyone earthly but have awe for God who judges the Soul also and has the power to send to hell.
