How to downscale 4K to 1080p without quality loss? : r/premiere
Aug 23, 2021 · Shot the footage with a Mavic Air 2, I shot it in 4k HDR so I'm not sure if that's native 4k or not. The codec for the 4k clips is HEVC (not really sure what that means). I changed the sequence to 1080p because I figured it would be easier to edit everything to scale so it would export easier but I'm probably wrong on that.
Editing 4k footage on 1080p timeline? : r/premiere - Reddit
Jun 2, 2023 · Ok so I shoot music videos. Most of which are posted to instagram or youtube. I do a lot of zooming in and out when editing. So you would say to take that 4k footage and edit in the 1080 p timeline to have more flexibility when playing with effects and zooms ?
How I finally fixed my 4k video stuttering problem, a warning
Mar 9, 2017 · As many reading this know I made a series of frustrated cries for help over the last week regarding HEVC 4k video playing properly on windows. As an early adopter, I didn't really know what I was doing and info online about what hardware can do what is pretty scarce so far when it comes to the 4k files, even the guy at the local computer store ...
Can someone help me understand scaling with 4K video? : …
Oct 23, 2021 · When putting 4k footage in a 1080 timeline it will be zoomed in until you set to frame size by right clicking and hitting set to frame size. DO NOT scale to frame size. This will set the scale to 100 on the 4k footage (instead of 50) and …
How much 4K video does a 128gb card hold? : r/videography
Up to 150 minutes per 128GB card at 100Mbps 4K. Due to the nature of variable bitrate encoding, it does depend on scene complexity. Note that each individual clip cannot exceed 29:59. If you're shooting SLOG, stick with 100Mbps. The lower bitrates don't grade very well.
If I edit 4k footage in 1920x1080, should I export in 4k or 1080p?
In your case, editing 4K footage on a 1080p timeline, there is often a slight benefit in final output quality by exporting in 4K, especially if uploading to YouTube. Ideally you'd be outputting something along the lines of ProRes HQ to reduce compression artifacting.
This is probably the best 4K HDR demo I have watched on my LG CX
May 23, 2022 · Hello again, I have another track Incedent regarding a Blue Gt3 RS and a Yellow 458 on dragon’s trails. Sorry for the 2000s footage. If you could give you point of view on the situation that would be great. Thanks👍
Is 16GB enough ram to edit/render 4K footage? : r/mac - Reddit
Aug 2, 2023 · I think if you’re gonna do 4K footage with nothing running in the background 16GB of RAM will push your computer but it’ll get it done. You really should go for 32GB if you plan on doing it often. You definitely need at least 1TB though because your computer is gonna fill up fast and performance will be negatively affected by lack of storage.
Punching in 4k footage on a 4k timeline vs. 1080p timeline - Reddit
Jan 6, 2021 · What will effect the outcome is the bitrate and codec much more than the pixel count. 10 bit 1080p from my FS5 will stand up much better to grading than 4K 8 bit footage. I've tested it. Caveat, there are proponents who say that downsampling 4k 8 bit footage to HD resolution results in a pseudo-10 bit outcome because of interpolation.
I film everything in 4k but export in 1080p, is it time to export in 4k?
Jun 9, 2022 · I also sometimes mix in 180 fps footage at 1080p. To me, I look at 4K as an invaluable tool to help me maximize the quality of my work. A means to an end, rather than the final product. If I start needing to deliver 4K to clients I will have to reevaluate the way I work and consider upgrading to 6K+ cameras. But I feel like I'm fine now.
