The V4 would have to have an extremely large bore and stroke to have 1L per cylinder of displacement. The V6 and V8 would make good street engines as they are currently being used.

Oct 27, 2009 · v8, tow package, and a part time transfer case if you can find it. the only reason for the 4.7 to crap out on you would be due to poor PO upkeep. the 4.7 will last just as long if its been kept up on! plus the 4.7 has way more power and a wayy better trans behind it then the 4.slow does. hope this helps!

Dec 24, 2007 · After doing numerous little things to my 4.0L I have decided that it is time to stop playing with an engine that was never intended to be a performance engine and swap something else in with a few more cylinders and a lot more potential. I am really interested in swapping in a newer modular Ford V8, but haven't been able to find any info on a swap.

Aug 24, 2015 · This fan may also fit up to the ZJ V8, but buying the parts new will cost you nearly double. The fan clutch for the 5.0L is roughly $40 more than one for the 4.0L... The YA220 fan is plenty. The next three images are of a 5.0L radiator and fan. This comes to show just how borderline adequate the ZJ V8's cooling system really is in stock form.
