In 1977 the 308 would take on a steel body, vehicles that are simply known as the 308 GTB. A targa-topped version, the 308 GTS, was also launched that year. In 1980 the Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection was offered, leading to the 308 GTBi and 308 GTSi.
