Oct 9, 2007 · Not sure why one would run bullets heavier than 142gn in a 260 Rem do to velocity drop. Been shooting 260 Rem for 4 years with great success using the following. Bartlien barrel 28" with break 1:8 twist (handloads ) with .005" jam 123gn Amax , H4350 45gr powder MV 3,003 fps 140gn Sierra, H4350 42.7gr powder MV 2,865 fps

Mar 27, 2014 · And I mean 7mm-08, .280 Ackley, 6.5 PRC, .44 rem mag, .308 win, .260 rem, .25-06, and basically anything we could shoot that was threaded. I think I have 6-7 baseplates with different thread patterns.

Aug 24, 2021 · After about 10 shots from my .260 Rem, with only enough time to single-shot load another one in the chamber, the mirage gets pretty bad, even with the thermal wrap. The Ti cans do heat up pretty damn fast. That's the only downfall to them.

Mar 28, 2012 · Re: .260 AI or .260 rem. Ive done both and now shoot a plain .260. I think most people end up going with a straight .260 after doing the 260ai. The performance gain is nothing impressive. Its really a mater of how much extra time you have and how far your willing to go for an extra 75fps +/-.

Apr 27, 2021 · When I had a GAP10 G2 in 260 and a 25" barreled R700 in 260, both profiled for the can, I thought I was shooting a 22. It sounded pretty much like my MK12 but the bullet crack was louder. It gives a healthy (1-1.2mil, depending on which barrel profile I had it on) POI shift, but it is repeatable as my Ultra7, and yes, perceivably quieter.
