Aug 21, 2019 · Imo, Ferrari did not have the fastest car in 2017. Their car had a short wheelbase which meant it was basically unbeatable at circuits such as Monaco, Hungary and Singapore (well, it would have been if it wasn't for the crash). However, at circuits such as Monza, Silverstone or Suzuka ( and quite a few more) it was the Mercedes who was dominant.

Jul 26, 2017 · The same as in the question about the cost of the Formula One car in general - cost of the fabricating the actual parts and putting them together is just fraction of cost. Since those parts are new and unique the actual cost consists of thousands of hours of R&D, and materials and fabrication cost of many actual parts that turned out suboptimal.

In 2014, Rosberg qualified there with a 1:14.8, and this year, Hamilton qualified with a 1:11.459. Edit: The 2017 Indycar is almost like a 2014 Caterham.

Jan 4, 2022 · F1 cars are basically rocketships that goes on ground, why would you ever expect them to be road relevant? Might as well make F1 a stock car series like GT3 or NASCAR or whatever. At least let some manufacturers partake with NA engines. What is even more ridiculous is Formula E will be much more road relevant than F1 ever was in just 5 years.
