Mar 22, 2021 · With that said, if you are looking for a good entry 1911 or a 1911 to "build on" the Colts or Springfield GI models would be a good starting point. You can then add on parts from Wilson Combat, Nighthawk, Ed Brown or any other 1911 parts maker youd like. 1911's are great gun. They just require a bit more attention and care than the polymer stuff.

May 13, 2020 · Have a new tan GSG 1911 on its way to me. Purchased the upgraded guide rod and spring from Taylor Tactical. Have 500 rounds of Armscor 22 lr 36 gr high velocity hollow points to run through her initially. Was wondering if anyone has any good tips or upgrades they can share with me.
