I don’t know how the notification trick works with other OSs than Android, but switching Bluetooth off in a panic situation should fix the problem.

I find that the hatches aren't always worth anything but the challenge of collecting 12 x 12k eggs is always fun. Beating the team rocket grunts, and leaders also gives the chance of a decent shadow mon too. The XP and Stardust when hatching 12 x 12k is great if you remember a lucky egg and star piece.
