Nov 6, 2016 · I am running this with Polk R40 towers 90db efficiency 3/4 dome tweeter and twin 51/4" woofers. The amp has no problem driving these. I have a Onkyo C-7030 cdp and my old XP computer for streaming hooked into a Radio Shack switch box.

Dec 1, 2011 · The little amp powered these speakers just fine in my small room. Probably would run out of steam in a bigger room just like the speakers would. But for a good sound in a small room they get the job done.

Dec 1, 2011 · Running through Omega Super 3T high efficiency speakers. Gives me plenty of juice in a small room. I just changed the tubes to Sovtek EL84M and Gold Lion 12AX7 and I love it even more.

Dec 15, 2012 · I have a Miniwatt N3 that I acquired for a second, smaller system. So far, I have only exchanged out one tube, the preamp tube, for a Tung Sol 12ax7. My impression is entirely favorable and in direct contrast to your observations. I am currently using 87 db efficient speakers, well less efficient than your pair.

APPJ PA0901A tube/MiniWatt amplifier - 3.5 watts of wonderful goodness. This one of the two that I had kept but decided to now sell. Apr 20, 2016 · With 18 drivers between the two speakers, that can get expensive. The equalizer can also be upgraded and probably should be. Beyond being 40 years old by now, with failing components, the Bose EQs were cheaply made.
