According to them, this is not a large scale problem. None of the Dealerships or Auto Shops in my area have seen an Equinox with this "common head-gasket problem". Therefore just because you own an Equinox, doesn't mean you own a "head-ache" (A little Nox humor!) So far, the Equinox is a keeper for us. jd

OK, I am working on my aunts car, an '05 equinox. Started with an oil change and evolved into a carrier bearing. I am now at the point to reassemble and have come to find only half the CV joint came out of the "PTU" I have tried EVERYTHING I can think of, the rest of the CV joint will not come out! It MUST come out to reassemble to CV joint.

I have a 2005 Nox LT (bought new in July 05) with the 6-CD player and steering wheel controls. In October 05, the CD's jammed up (a sprocket popped out of the CD opening!) and I had it replaced via factory warranty. My Nox is now less than 3 years old, and has 40K miles, and the CD player just jammed up again.

The outside Temp. sensor on my Equinox LT 2008 has gone hay wire. It worked well for 4 1/2 years nut now it sows the right temp when you first start the car. But while driving, the temperature starts to rise and goes up to 45C then starts to drop and goes down to about 15 degrees even though the outside temperature is only 27C.
