Mar 29, 2010 · I just bought (10/19/10) a WalMart battery 51-4 @67.00. It has a ONE (1) year replacement warranty (that's all folks). The EVERSTART ($10 more) has a 2 year warranty, (again thats all folks) Dealer was 122 per. Depending on when your battery craps out in the 60 mo prorate; variable. However I paid $88. for a dealer battery.

Aug 1, 2010 · I have the Interstate H8 on both my 00 and 02 Jetta ALH. I had to do away with the battery compartment. To secure the battery, I strapped the battery in two places around the base (1/4 and 3/4 section of battery). Also covered the positive terminal with the red plastic that comes with the battery. Why did I use the H8 instead of H7?

And sometimes, if you install a new battery and things don't seem to be working right, you can get things back in order by removing the battery leads and touching them together for 10-15 seconds. __. But you never know because of the "quirks".

May 21, 2001 · I was out of town for a week and temps hit minus 15 or so. My ‘03 Jetta’s battery couldn’t start it. It’s a Bosch made in 2019, which I thought was not very old. Apparently, four years is the new five year battery life. I got a powerful NOCO booster from Amazon that started the car first try. Drive it to work so it got charged up.

May 19, 2004 · I got the IP seals replaced as soon as possible, but not before my battery idiot light started flashing. A couple weeks after the seals on the IP were replaced, my battery light came on for good, and the alternator was no longer charging the system. Battery voltage was consistently 11.5 V while running. So, yesterday I replaced the alternator.

Got the painted at a collage and the instructor told me we are responsible for any parts missing or broken. Had too wait for one year to get my car back, it cost dirt cheap. Went to pick up my car and would fire up.
