May 18, 2016 · I think that is the case for the 08-14 chassis, but the OP has an 02 wagon. The RCE Black Springs for the 02-07 chassis are MUCH stiffer than the OEM WRX Springs. Bikelok is correct, for RCE springs on the GD chassis; you need something like the Tokico D-specs or Koni Inserts. AGX is a maybe, but it is only limited to 4 settings.

And i know both of you recommended the 345, but I bought 2 different 345 from advance auto (dayco and drive-rite) and I can't get them on...probably about 1/4" short of the alternator pulley.

Jul 13, 2010 · the 02 wrx, IIRC, doesn't start spooling until ~3000 RPM... so if you're anything below this range from 2nd gear and up, it's going to feel sluggish. turbo motors have a lower compression ratio so they feel much less responsive in off-boost conditions compared to N/A motors such as the 2.5 RS and the 03 legacy that you mentioned.

Apr 3, 2010 · The 2002 WRX uses shim-over-bucket. These valve clearances can be checked and adjusted with with the engine in the car. Its best to use the Subaru/SPX special tool if you need to replace shims.

Feb 5, 2012 · This is a ROM developed to enhance the capability of the stock ECU on 16bit Subarus. It uses a Speed Density control scheme which means fueling is calculated primarily from the MAP sensor instead of the MAF sensor. As it is based off the Group-N ROM it will only work on 02-03 USDM WRX ECUs and 02-04 JDM ECUs.
