2009 Xserve 3,1 I flashed it to cMP 5,1 (144), installed 2x X5675s and 8x8gb 1333 ram. I have been experimenting with a modified smbios in OpenCore. I used OC to inject my original serial number back in and to turn it back into/ identify as an Xserve. I have iCloud, etc.

Jul 20, 2015 · My rationale for powering ahead with the existing Xserve has been - the robustness of a 6 year old Xserve versus a new Mac Pro or Mac mini. Since the Xserve has redundant power supplies and redundant internal drives, it would always be a better bet than a consumer level machine. If it dies, we'd replace it with another Mac.

Oct 26, 2007 · MacOS X Server 10.5 comes with Bootcamp. At least my XServe I upgraded from 10.4.10 to 10.5 a few hours ago still has the Bootcam Assistant on it. Its use on server hardware is however questionable. You must have very good reasons for that.
