Mar 22, 2017 · After having some interaction with some media involving medieval warfare, I noticed that a Voulge and a Bardiche are very similar in design and (possibly) purpose. I haven't done a full historical research on them, but by looking at some images, they appear to be very similar. What is the difference between them?

Apr 4, 2016 · A Voulge has to have ilvl>=26 to have 4 sockets. Below that, it will only get 3. This limit applies to socketing with Larzuk and cubing as well, so you can't just shop a voulge and Larzuk it for 4 sockets. In addition, on normal difficulty, nothing can drop with more than 3 sockets.

I'm curious which is better? For my Merc! He has Andariel's Visage so he can use both. Cryptic Axe Insight has 124 - 523 damage Colossus Voulge Insight has 63 - 531 damage So while CV has 8 more max damage, it has almost half the min damage of the cryptic axe. Which should I use? everyone says CV is so good.

Apr 4, 2020 · Berserker/Fury - bound the Voulge to the Druid's side of the multiclass. That way I could still use Static Charge (not Static Thunder though) with Carnage but also get the +3 PL to Storms which is pretty nice and stacks mighty fine with Deltro's Cage's +2 PL to shock abilities.

Sep 16, 2022 · Lord Darryn's Voulge cause Static Charge on carnage, and it is a weapon feature. Every enemies in the Carnage area take the stacking effect / lightning damage on crit, even on top a disoriented weapon effect on crit for the Barbarian upgrade.

Nov 13, 2021 · Yeh you will get more dmg out of the eth insight, but 200str requirement for Merc so keep that in mind. I mean 4 sockets is max for voulge so Imo it's pretty much insight or pride, but pride is expensive and kinda fringe builds I think

Mar 4, 2020 · The main reason people use it over thresher is if playing on ladder they can get the required sockets easy. Since they are on a time constraint many don't feel like farming long for it and just socket quest a cv. If you aren't in a hurry I would wait for a thresher, if you just want to get one quickly go for it.

Oct 14, 2021 · I did this and built an insight in a collosus voulge, which has a great roll on the aura, but my merc tells me he cannot wear this weapon. I guess it's because of its 210 strength requirement?
