Tao Lin (Chinese: 林韜; born July 2, 1983) is an American novelist, poet, essayist, short-story writer, and artist. He has published four novels, a novella, two books of poetry, a collection of short stories, and a memoir, as well as an extensive assortment of online content.

Tao Lin is the author of ten books of prose and poetry. His fourth novel, Leave Society, was published by Vintage in August 2021.

Founder and editor of Muumuu House, Lin is also cofounder of MDMAfilms. He has taught at Sarah Lawrence University and presented his work at places such as Yale, Vassar, and the Museum of Modern Art. His work has been translated into twelve languages.
