Jun 21, 2022 · The turret rotation is very slow for the ranseur. Which means if it gets caught out of position it will suffer more than say a hatchet which can turn its turret and tracks quicker to get its gun on the target faster. It's entirely possible to heart a ranseur with a devitt without ever taking a shot if you come up behind it.
All of this Ranseur is a better disabler nonsense. : r/foxholegame
Jun 21, 2022 · The ranseur can and might be able to get a volley off on the hwmm and deal a devastating blow before they can get to the flanks of the ranseur and get out of the range of the guns. Assuming the hwmm is going to try and get out of range of the gun and might take the volley in the process that is a typical scenario I've seen multiple times.
The problem with the Ranseur : r/foxholegame - Reddit
That is essentially the Ranseur’s T3 structure combat ability. However, keep in mind the Ranseur uses the relatively cheap RPG shell, which makes it cost-effective against pillboxes and T1/T2 structures. This also allows the Ranseur to be usable in tank combat, something completely lacking in the Ballista/Chieftain.

Apr 7, 2023 · And coincidentally umbral wildwood was getting invaded at the time, so I convinced a clan bud (who then convinced one of his buds) to tank with with me. I can distinctly remember the first major tank on tank combat our ranseur was engaged in, bouncing 2 shells from a warden STD. It was magical. Our time in umbral fell into a certain rhythm.

Mar 15, 2020 · Ranseur is described as Trident but with more prominent central spike, which seems rather spear-like IMHO. Trident does d8 with Thrown trait, so it's basically on-par with Champion/Cleric upgraded Spear (d6->d8), and obviously could be described as a …

Oct 9, 2021 · The Meteor Hammer has Disarm, which is also good, as does the Ranseur, which does slightly more damaging than the Meteor Hammer. Shove is also a pretty decent trait. You'll want to make heavy use of your Attack of Opportunity, so definitely pick up Combat Reflexes at level 10---that way you can trip an opponent from 10 feet away, take an AoO ...
Expanded Weapons & Armor v1.8 [5E] : r/UnearthedArcana - Reddit
The ranseur is easily the most broken one. Having reach should come at a cost - here it clearly doesn't. Also, access to polearm master makes polearms better than other weapons by default. Even at 1d10, they are already the most optimal weapon for most builds.
