Pingu and his parents are eating their lunch one day, but Pingu doesn't want to eat his seaweed. After a comical lunch, Pingu goes outside to play with his red rubber ball but it is stolen by two mischievous penguins named Pingo and Pingg.

Pingu causes chaos inside a toyshop. When he saves the shop-keeper's model ship, Pingu is rewarded with a rocket ship toy he really wanted.

Who is Pingu? He's a charming and cheeky young penguin who lives in the snow and ice of the South Pole. Often finding himself in tricky and comical situations, the mischievous penguin meets the challenges of life head on, as he grows into a cooler and wiser penguin along the way.

PINGU is playing at being a photographer with his friend Robby. In the process, PINGU also wants to capture a hot-air balloon on film. A photojournalist who comes rushing along takes a picture of the two friends with the balloon.

A seagull steals PINGU's fish. His search for the thief leads him to a bird's nest full of young birds. When PINGU sees the chicks he understands the mother bird's actions. What is more he decides to help by stealing fish from around the village to feed the birds.

Pingu is teasing his sister and her favourite toy rabbit tumbles out of the window. So it is up to Pingu to go on a frantic hunt for the lost toy!

Pingu is a *very* refreshing break from the (many, many, many!) more mundane children's shows currently on the air. Pingu himself is an irreverent, irrepressible little fellow who relentlessly does his own thing (and often takes the heat from his parents for it).
