Oct 19, 2019 · Recently purchased a PTR 9KT from Atlantic Firearms. Initial thoughts, finish was nice, welds were clean and much better than on MKE mp5. I went to the range and initially only fired 50 rounds through the gun as i wanted to fire it with the brace installed but was unable to install it at the time.

Jan 21, 2021 · Sadly in a moment of weakness I sold the rig. Recently bought a PTR 9KT as I couldnt justify current market prices for another. I liked the B&T, but I always wanted an extending stock. So, specifically I'm wondering about the difference between the extending stocks on HK Parts, and how they fit on a PTR? Fitting required? End cap problems, etc.

Dec 21, 2020 · I picked up a new PTR 9KT this afternoon to replace my non functional Omega OM9K. I drove immediately to the desert to test it, based on the dozens of reports of these guns not working. I attempted to disassemble the firearm, but was unable to. The bottom rear takedown pin is jammed in place. I loaded an included ETS mag and a KCI Gen 2 mag.

Sep 4, 2021 · PTR - both my 9C and 9KT have a slight upwards bend at the trunnion that's not present on the HK or the Zenith. This makes it harder to look down the sights because you have to get much lower on the gun. Mounting an optic helps. The 9C runs 100%. The 9KT is a hunk of trash and I wish I had never spent the money.

Mar 7, 2021 · PTR has the normal HK shelf system, Zenith has the push pin front with a different block to prohibit full auto parts. I went with a PTR because I know PTR's quality and I'm pretty sure they'll be around. I've little enough faith in relations with Turkey and the importer and stuff. Some dislike PTR's top rail, but I'm fine with it.

Nov 25, 2019 · Ok, got my PTR 9KT today. It has some pluses and minuses. I shot 100 rounds of 115 gr. S&B FMJ without a hitch. Very smooth shooter with good sight line. I do not like the contoured handle or the selector lever. The lower receiver wears on the inside of your thumb after a while and the selector lever is clumsily shaped. It really sticks out.

May 5, 2019 · Just another little bit of information to throw out there about the 9KT mag issue. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I just purchased a PTR 9KT. As of now it still hasn't been fired by me, but I hope to remedy that tomorrow. One of the mags that came with my pistol was extremely loose fitting and had at least 3/8" wobble.

Jun 21, 2021 · Kinda bummed about overpaying for PTR, but overall I think it's not bad, if you just want a mp5 type platform to tinker with. If I get a sp5 down the road, it will probably be a safe queen, and the PTR will get more use. And I think it's better to have guns you actually use and play with than safe queens.
