Longines, a Swatch owned watch company, has modified to its specifications the Valjoux 7751, made by a Swatch owned movement maker and renamed it the L678.

I wonder how Longines would reconcile that with the fact that it goes contrary to the pattern of open-face calibre numbers ending in odd numbers!

The ONLY Longines watches I can find in any of the links provided are pictures of Longines Classique models which are late '80s or early '90s. And the only image of a case back that I found is the one I have uploaded. This case back is held on with 6 or 8 stainless steel screws.

If it is a Longines in a Swiss case, it is all original if the numbers in the case match that of the watch. Different numbers do not necessarily mean switching occurred.

Oct 5, 2015 · Hello again. I went to set the time on my Longines Admiral Automatic wind wristwatch and the stem pulled completely out. I know the crystal must be removed to remove the movement to re-install the winding stem. However, the plastic crystal appears to be glued in place. I do not want to damage or crack the crystal.
