  1. TETRA & GOURAMI COMPATABILITY | Fish Forum

Oct 21, 2024 · I had a honey gourami with ember tetras once. Worked well together overall, the only issues were gourami mating (the top 1/3 of the tank was a NO GO zone for the tetra), and when feeding as the gourami was the dominant one it got to the food first. Pearl and Dwarf gourami may have different temperaments however. Others will have a better idea ...

  2. Are cichlids and gourami compatible? | AquariaCentral.com

Aug 12, 2009 · Angels and Gourami can be a bad combination as the Gourami have tendencies to nip the Angels fins. That said, stuff like rams, apistogramma species and jewels can be homed with Gourami in a decently sized tank - still comes down to the individual fish involved though. Broadly speaking its the fish that decides what it can go with, not us.

  3. Do gouramis often sit on the bottom? | AquariaCentral.com

Apr 26, 2007 · What kind of gouramis are they? If they are dwarf gouramis, they are usually very suseptable to internal parasites because of the way they are bred (I don't know much about this, but I know its true) but yeah, white stringy poop and sitting on the bottom is almost a definate sign of internal parasites with gouramis.

  4. Betta With Honey Gourami? | Fish Forum - Tropical Fish Forums

Aug 14, 2011 · I break all the rules with my bettas. I have two males living peacefully together in with 27 females. There is also a large female angel and a large female moonlight gourami. There used to be a male lavender gourami and pearl gouramis in with them too,- but they died off over the last year. I'd had them many years so it was probably old age.

  6. Gouramis keep dying! Why? | AquariaCentral.com

Mar 2, 2006 · For some reason every time I get a Gourami it dies. I have been buying them from Petsmart and returning them. First one was a male Three Spot, second was a female Three Spot, third was a Paradise fish. All of them died within 24 hours of being in a 30 gallon understocked tank. They had plenty of shelter, plants, excellent filtration.

  7. Gourami Is Weak/swimming Sideways And Upside Down

May 19, 2011 · However, I have a Moonlight Gourami which does swim in an exceptionally different way to all my other fish. By this, I mean that he is often eating food from the bottom of the tank or nibbling on plants whilst swimming completely vertical, with his head downwards and his tail to the surface.

  8. Gourami - Open Wounds - Now With Pics | Fish Forum - Tropical …

Jul 1, 2005 · My dwarf gourami has developed some open sore's. i have no idea what they could be. He is fine otherwise, not bloated, still eating well, swimming fine, but his poo is white and stringy too. Tank is the 57G as per signature. Stats are: 0/0/10ppm for ammonia/nitrite/nitrate. Ph has dropped recently from 7.0 to 6.4 - not sure why.

  9. Large lump on gourami | Fish Forum - Tropical Fish Forums

Jan 22, 2019 · We've had a dwarf gourami for over a year. In the last 3 weeks, it developed a very large lump on its left side and a smaller on on the right. It's laying on the bottom of the tank. Pet smart said they thought it was a tumor and nothing could be …

  10. Gouramis & Danios...can I put them together? - AquariaCentral.com

May 13, 2006 · Agreed. Danios are hyperactive and will stress out the smaller gouramis such as honeys and sparklers. I even had a dwarf gourami that was annoyed by my danios and rarely came out. Larger gouramis shouldn't have an issue though.
