Nov 10, 2023 · If you are interested in 40 S&W I recommend the Gen 5 Glock 40 with a thicker slide. Shooting my 17.5 and then the 22.5 there is subjectively little difference in recoil. Strive to carry the handgun you would want anywhere, everywhere; forget that good area bullcrap.

I thought it would be interesting to see how it would compare to the Buffalo Bore 220gr Outdoorsman. Today I ran this through my Glock 40 both with the stock 6" barrel and a KKM 7" barrel.

Aug 12, 2015 · I use the g19 recoil assembly and mags and a LWD 9mm conversion barrel when shooting 9mm, it doesn't cycle properly with the .40/.357 recoil assembly due to the stronger spring. With the .357 Sig, I just swap out the barrels.

Apr 17, 2020 · The extra sight radius of the 40 would only apply in a hunting situation but both are basically combat pistols. You can't downsize a 40, but you can up-size the 20! I have owned the G29 w/lots of barrels, 20SF w/6"KKM and the 40 w/KKM. I have downsized to the 20. CDR_Glock-you asked about holsters and I have had ALL of the good stuff.

Feb 17, 2020 · I agree with the exception that I don't feel under gunned with a 200 gr WFN running at 1250 fps from the G20. I don't own a model 40, but have had the opportunity to spend a little range time with one. Suppressed and unsuppressed. Great shooter. Definitely a velocity pickup with the longer barrel and yet a few more fps with the can.

Apr 9, 2018 · Of those, 2,301rds are on a Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel. I use the original .40 Ejector and Extractor of the G27. About 90% of the time, I use the 9mm mags... including shooting the .40. Based on my log, the gun (not ammo) has never failed when using the correct caliber mag. It has never failed when using the .40 barrel + 9mm mags
