Dec 19, 2018 · Look, unplug the kill wire and check the continuity at the coil. If no cont., then repair the wiring/switch. If OK, then the coil has an internal open in the diode or some other gizmo they done sealed in epoxy. Ran into that many a time, when I was workin' on a fleet of em. If so, jes' use the choke to kill it, not a big deal.

Mar 6, 2008 · The elegator gizmo is BY FAR the STUPIDEST design I've ever seen for an actual marketed gate lift mechanism. The gorilla lift is much more along the design you want to go with. Th ones with the exposed springs are just dumb. they are an injury just waiting to happen.
