Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co., Ltd. (Chinese: 福耀玻璃工业集团股份有限公司) is a Chinese glass manufacturing company established in 1987 and is headquartered in Fuqing.

Fuyao Group (full name: Fuyao Glass Industry Group Co., Ltd.) was incorporated in 1987 in Fuzhou, China. It is a Chinese-foreign joint venture specializing in the production of automotive safety glass and industrial technology glass, and it is also a truly large-scale transnational industrial group.

Since 1987, parent company Fuyao Group, has been producing outstanding automotive glass for the OEM & ARG markets. Now a global company and world leader in auto glass manufacturing, Fuyao’s expansion into the U.S. marks a return to the midwest’s manufacturing roots.

Fuyao took over a shuttered General Motors factory a decade ago and eventually hired more than 2,000 workers to make glass for the automotive industry. The company, which received millions in tax breaks and incentives from the state and local governments, has said the Ohio plant was the world’s largest auto glass production facility.
