Nov 19, 2023 · Ai Di/Chen Yi took off because Ai Di is a bad bitch style icon that could whoop ANYONE's ass, but he would let Chen Yi (and only Chen Yi) literally carry him around like a doll - and there's something so, so intriguing about that. lmao! But it is very much obviously Rui/Zong Yi's show. I didn't feel "swindled" out of time/focus on either couple.

Oct 17, 2023 · Chen Yi has finally figured out what he wants, and I was so worried our little pocket emo blondie was going to reject him forever, but Ai Di's conversation with Zong Yi relieved me. He's just freaking out that maybe he's reading Chen Yi wrong (even tho Chen Yi is finally being SO CLEAR). Ai Di, baby, the light is green...

He was such a delightful minx the entire episode. In the Viki translation, in their last scene he says "my boss Chen Yi" (the others leave out the "my") with perfect undertones. They both know that Chen Yi may throw him around, but Ai Di can manipulate his big boy with ease. Gotta say, also loved Chen Yi's dominant side showing in the bedroom!

They were "adopted" by Chen, that's why Ai Di is constantly telling Chen Yi that Chen would never see him as more than a son. (It is never said whether it was a legal adoption or not, since it's a common theme in mafia/gang type shows that kids are adopted by the leader.) That's also why Ai Di and Chen Yi share a birthday.

And undoubtedly, William hardly stood much of a chance from the mid show onwards after Qi Jun made a comeback. As for Zheng Xuan (Sports Med), I felt the worst for him. He did so much for Zheng Ru and yet Zheng Ru went for Chen Yi Chen.
