But more than offsetting any minor gripes are the great things about my Beemer: It's different. You don't see R9Ts very often in the wild, and that seriously appeals to the non-conformist in me.

Nov 28, 2017 · My R9T just handles great with those tires. One thing I have noticed about the Michelin Power RS tires is that they are a bit taller than the same size OEM Metzelers. With the Metzelers on my R9T, my speedometer always read about 4 mph fast when compared to the digital numbers displayed on roadside radar speed signs.

Feb 19, 2017 · I bought my '15 R9T from a BMW dealer about four hours from me. Got it home and it had a weak battery (probably from the Clearwater lights coming on with the key on the dealer floor). Dealer was very nice and sent me a new Yuasa battery. However, they sent the YT19BC-BS which is for the Camhead RT and other bikes.

Jul 13, 2017 · R9T is not very good for long distance cruising, you better find the back roads to your destination. Options for carrying bags etc are quite limited for the R9T. There is alot of wind buffeting above 130km/h without some sort of screen for protection. I did about 40km of highway riding at speeds and it was annoying.

I picked one up for $14897, with $1000 in free accessories, $500 in free cash to spend at dealer, free extra year of HondaCare, and 1.99% financing. Compared to another Beemer, it would be significantly less expensive to get into one of these (as a second bike) compared to the BMW.
