Jul 15, 2013 · Artorias couldn't have stayed anywhere in the Chasm, he got completely fucked up in there. That is the whole reason we find him in the arena, he retreats, presumably with the intention of returning after he is able to rally himself, but is overcome by the Abyss.

Feb 16, 2014 · I think Artorias will come out fast, opening with quick blows to try and break Ornstein quickly. Ornstein will back off, waiting for Artorias to wear himself out. Striking from a distance in the brief moments while Artorias recoils from the weight of his greatsword. As the Abysswalkers health begins to dwindle, Ornstein goes in for the kill.

Aug 5, 2021 · As title, Artorias seem to be pretty resistant to some damage. I got a Quelaag Furysword +5 at 40 dex, the damage on him every hit does not even go pass 100. However, I got a Spear +11, dont know how I get it or when I upgraded it but it does much more damage than I expected, around 200 each hit if not mistaken.

Jun 12, 2013 · Against Artorias you have two main options- Tank his attacks with the highest stability shield you have, (using his own shield against him is actually perfect for this) or dodge them all. Don't even worry about hurting him until you learn the pattern of his attacks, then aim for the gaps where he isn't ripping your face off.

It's not the majestic greatsword lol. Its the Greatsword of Artorias, that is it's name. If you want to get really technical, the one he is using in the fight would be called the abyss greatsword though. It ain't some cheap knockoff sword some poser in drangelaic made- it's the real deal bruv.

The Soul of Artorias can be ascended with a +10 straight sword (other than the Broken Straight Sword or Straight Sword Hilt), greatsword or ultra greatsword to create the Abyss Greatsword. The Soul of Artorias tells us that originally people believed Artorias "repelled" the abyss in Oolacile, but it turns out that that the chosen undead did it instead. Hawkeye Gough tells you that if you want to succeed Artorias in his fight to stop the spread of dark from swallowing Oolacile, you must face Manus who is its source.

Apr 23, 2016 · To me the whole point of fighting Artorias is to give him a honorable death before he becomes a hollow menace, for him and his journey to be remembered well, as he was in our current times, and carry out his wishes going further in the DLC. Summoning help for this fight in particular would be a disgrace.
