Feb 10, 2016 · Mines just coming upto 100K miles , I wouldn't have an issue buying a 3.0 TDI with 100K miles on the clock. Glow plugs on modern cars are on a lot longer than cars of old, On the B8 3.0 TDI they can be on for upto 3 minutes with post glow to help the engine warm up and reduce emissions. The same applies to modern Euro 5 and 6 Diesels.

Jul 23, 2019 · So i managed to get the injectors out. But theres a bit of a problem. The injector that was chuffing has split the copper washer in 2. 1 half came out on the injector, the other stayed down the hole.

Jun 10, 2016 · Good job, having a go yourself it's more satisfying and you save some money. The V6 TDI sounds great, side branch resonators do a go job of reducing the resonance / drone that you can get with a straight through system without killing the noise too much.
Would you be put off by an 3.0TDI with high mileage?
Feb 8, 2014 · I looked for a few months for a 3.0 TDI B8 with a manual box and there aren't that many. I worked out that roughly every 10K miles was worth about £400 off the price.This was on a 2008 B8 3.0 TDI Avant. The B8 3.0 TDI doesn't have that many things that go wrong with it.

This fault is very common on 3.0 TDi, and the culprit is turbine electrical actuator (#059145725J) - costs about 250€. But if You don't have any of the issues above and the fault clears than it still has some life left in it.
