After interviewing 16 different people for the team’s head coaching vacancy, the New York Jets look like they have made their hire.

New York hired Glenn, most recently the Detroit Lions defensive coordinator, as their next head coach, ahead of his scheduled in-person interview with New Orleans. It’s a five-year deal, according to league sources.

After serving as the defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions for the past four years and helping lead Detroit from the NFL's outhouse to the NFC's best record, Aaron Glenn has agreed to become the head coach of the New York Jets, per ESPN's Rich Cimini.
