Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz each had two goals and an assist as the Dallas Stars beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-3 Friday night.

Dallas began its adjustment period without its star defensemen with a strong performance as several players shined in their new roles.

It was obvious the Canucks — who traded Miller shortly before the puck dropped — were playing short-handed in their 5-3 loss to Dallas.

The Canucks were reportedly highly interested in acquiring Drew Fortescue, but got Victor Mancini from the Rangers instead.

The Vancouver Canucks are looking to continue bolstering their roster even after a pair of blockbuster trades.
