As of 5:50 p.m., multiple officers from the Sioux City Police Department can be seen in the area of 15th and Jackson. Sioux City Police Chief Rex Mueller says officers were called to the area shortly after 5 p.m. and when they got there, a man was found with a gunshot wound.

A press release from the Sioux City Police Department said officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle near 18th and Grandview Boulevard. During the stop officers learned the occupant of the vehicle was wanted for felony criminal warrants,
