One of the biggest names in this year’s free agency has finally found a home. On Wednesday night, Alex Bregman decided to sign a three-year, $120 million contract with the Boston Red Sox, with the AL East team preparing for a major playoff push in 2025.

Bregman is a two-time All-Star and MVP finalist who has spent his entire career with the Houston Astros, including five seasons with Hinch at the helm. But Hinch said he didn’t take the snub more personally because of his relationship with Bregman.

The former Astros star turned down a longer deal with a greater total guarantee to take a shorter-term contract with Boston.
