The Anaheim Ducks will retire Paul Kariya's No. 9 jersey on Oct. 21 and Scott Niedermayer's No. 27 on Feb. 17.

The Ducks named Kariya captain of the team in 1996 at just 21 years old, and won back-to-back Lady Byng Memorial Trophies in 1996 and 1997, honoring him as the most gentlemanly among NHL players.
