94-year-old park tower in Door County to reopen to the public after 7 years' closure
The tower was built in 1931 and is a state and national historic place. It closed at the end of 2017 because of wood decay found during inspection.
DNR to reopen Potawatomi State Park’s observation tower
Officials with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources announced on Monday plans to reopen the observation tower at Potawatomi State Park. In a release, they say that the observation tower was closed back in December 2017 after engineers had found significant wood decay and unsafe conditions.
