FRANKLIN — Town Administrator Jamie Hellen was recently elected president of the Massachusetts Municipal Association's board of directors, according to an announcement from the organization.

Passengers will no longer use paper tickets on Rapid Transit Buses. Instead, all commuters must pay fares using smart cards, which are already available at major bus stations.
