It's that time of year. A tree that looks like something from Dr. Seuss is about to bloom in Central New York.

Spurred by D.C.’s recent sunny, mild weather, the Tidal Basin cherry blossoms reached the first stage of development Tuesday.

The famed cherry blossom trees are making their way toward peak bloom in D.C. Here’s a look at their progress.

The National Park Service has projected the dates for the 2025 peak bloom to fall between March 28 and March 31.
