A South Korean airline no longer allows portable power banks in baggage stored in overhead bins, citing lithium-battery fire risk.

South Korea's Air Busan will not allow passengers to keep power banks in luggage stored in overhead cabin bins, in what on Tuesday it called a preemptive measure after one of its planes was engulfed in flames last week.

Hong Kong expert says expansion of measure to other airlines will depend on further risk assessments by trade groups and carriers.
