Team India skipper addresses mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy's status for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy after being included in the England ODI series.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma on Wednesday played down speculations about his future in international cricket, saying it is irrelevant to talk about his career at a time when he is "focussed" on the three ODIs against England and the Champions Trophy.

Indian cricket team captain, Rohit Sharma, has hinted that spinner Varun Chakravarthy could be included in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy squad. Rohit made the statement during the pre-match press conference on the eve of the 1st ODI against England.

Chakravarthy, who got 14 wickets in five T20Is against England and was adjudged the 'Player of The Series', wasn't initially picked for the three ODIs against England and the Champions Trophy

Rohit Sharma hinted that Varun Chakravarthy's performance will be monitored and added that the cricketer can be added to India's Champions Trophy squad. He also slammed journalists on questions on Pandya's fitness and Shami's form.

India captain also spoke about Mohammed Shami's comeback ahead of the ODIs against England
