U.S. post offices will close for a day next week in recognition of a national holiday.

All branches of the United States Post Office will be closed Monday Feb. 17 in observance of Presidents Day, meaning mail delivery will also be halted until Tuesday, Feb. 18. Along with mail service being suspended for the federal holiday, the stock market and most banks will also be closed.

All post office locations are slated to be closed on that day for President’s Day. Even in the states — Delaware, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, North Carolina and Rhode Island — that don’t celebrate President’s Day, the USPS will be closed.

While the USPS scheduled out 11 holidays for 2025, additional days may be added to account for days of mourning and other exceptions.
