Update: Hughes Fire remains 100% contained, 10,425 acres burned in Los Angeles County
Hughes Fire initially started 10:53 a.m. Jan. 22 in Los Angeles County. It has burned 10,425 acres after being active for eight days. The fire crew managed to contain the fire entirely as of Thursday afternoon. The cause is, however, still being investigated.
Los Angeles’ Palisades and Eaton wildfires deemed fully contained
After nearly a month, two wind-fueled deadly wildfires in Southern California are fully contained. NBC News reports that the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection declared the Palisades and Eaton Fires as 100% contained on Friday.
