General Motors (GM) is recalling more than 70,000 cars due to faulty hood molding that may cause the front grille of the vehicles to detach, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

GM has issued a Safety Recall for some 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 trucks with a risk of a chrome deflector snapping off, with over 70,000 units potentially affected.

When GMC introduced the latest version of the Sierra, the brand touted the wider and bolder grille. Now, more than 70,000 examples of the truck are at the center of a new recall — because a part of that grille might just fly off at random.
