Sotheby’s auction house said Tuesday that “Crude Oil (Vettriano)” is being sold in London next month from the collection of Mark Hoppus, bassist with California skate-punk band Blink-182, who sees Banksy as a kindred spirit.

Today (February 18), Sotheby’s revealed Mark Hoppus’ rare Banksy piece is going up for auction. While the painting, Crude Oil (Vettriano), could earn upwards to $6 million. In a statement, Hoppus discussed the highly desired collectible.

Expected to sell for up to $6.3 million, Hoppus says proceeds of the sale will go towards charities aiding those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
