The median household income in Spring Green, for example, is about $87,000 annually, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, compared to about $71,000 for Wisconsin as a whole.

The bank moved out in 1962 and Spring Green folk artist Peg Miller made it her home and studio in 1978. Almost 30 years later, in 2007, the old bank was renovated to accommodate a restaurant setup.
